[Seoul Culture Today=Ashley Choi, Intern Reporter] ‘SICAF 2010’, the Korea’s largest cartoon & animation festival is held from July 21~25. You can enjoy the festival at various venues in Seoul, including Coex Conference Center.
According to the SICAF committee, the festival is divided into four parts; ▲International Animation Film Festival ▲SICAF Exhibition ▲International Digital Cartoon Show ▲Cartoon-animation Industrial Market.
Apgujung CGV, where International Animation Film Festival is held, will show Detzuka Osamu’s original <Jungle’s Greatest Emperor, Leo>, Izi Barta’s <The Loft is Alive> and over 300 pieces of works. Woon-Ki Kim’s <A Thumping Farm> will be shown as an Opening film, and the winning work in the competition will be shown as a Closing film.
With the theme of <Exciting Cartoon Animation>, SICAF Exhibition is held at Coex.The exhibition will include various exciting programs such as Young-Man Huh’s <Young-Man Huh’s Special Exhibition>, <The Smurf>, <Italian Cartoons>, <Korea & Japan’s Monster Cartoons>.
Also, an International Digital Cartoon Show will exhibit Korean & Foreign Digital Cartoon Masterpieces, 3D image shows and etc. Cartoon-animation Industrial Market will be opened through July 21 to 23 at Coex Conference Center.
Admission fee for Exhibitions will be charged 7,000 won & 5,000 won for adults and students and 4,000~5,000 won for International Animation Film Festival.
